It’s great when others promote your site. There are two reasons why someone would do this. One is that they are so impressed by the value of your information that they want to share it with their friends and/or colleagues. The other is that you have promoted them, and they want to reciprocate by promoting you. Often it is a combination of both reasons.
For another type of travel blog, let’s look at those where at first glance you may not think of as an exotic travel destination. Not to name names. You can fill in the name of your hometown or city. What? Why would anyone want to see a travel photography blog about where I live, you ask?
Somewhere along the line, we lost the point of travel. People visit pagodas, temples, churches, museums, and art galleries not out of personal interest, but out of some misplaced obligation. If you aren’t interested in art, skip the Museum of Modern Art. If you don’t like sports, forget the Superdome. Can’t stand witnessing first hand poverty? Don’t go to India.
